Tour Guiding
The Portland WorkSkills Tour Guiding Services publicise Portland and its
region to visitors.
Tours are available to school, bus or coach groups and may focus on history
and heritage, natural attractions or industry. Plan your own tour, have a tour
made to order for your group or select one of our popular tours to enhance your
visit of Portland.
- Our Tour Guides Service
was established in 1994
- Some attractions speak
for themselves. Most, however, greatly benefit from being interpreted and
highlighted. Our professional tour guides can make your visit to Portland
more informative, more entertaining and more enjoyable.
- We maintain a pool of
well-trained and versatile tour guides – guides who have undertaken
extensive training in the skills of guiding and spent much time getting to
know the attractions of Portland and its region
- We provide
walk-on/walk-off guides to local and visiting coaches and mini-buses – you
provide transport and we provide the guide
- Specialising in “tours
to order” for your senior citizens group, Probus Club, interest group,
school excursion or industry group
- Try our one-hour
“Introduction-to-Portland” tour, which serves to acquaint visitors with our
history, heritage, economy and other diverse attractions. Or, tour the
surrounding countryside and its many natural attractions, particularly our
coastal landscape
- We can also provide
guest speakers on Portland’s history and heritage for your dinner,
meeting or forum.

$50.00 (includes GST) per hour
$120.00 (includes GST) per half day (3 hours)
$230.00 (includes GST) per full day (6 hours)
Weekend / Public Holiday rate $75.00 (includes GST) per hour
Guest speaker cost $100.00 (incl GST) per hour subject to availability
