Community organisations and Work for
the Dole
Community organisations can develop
their organisation, build their community and help unemployed jobseekers by
supporting Work for the Dole. Community groups can receive funding to enable
their organisation to get major projects completed, can develop community

How can the community become

can arrange for WorkSkills to employ supervisor and to project manage the
Work for the Dole project. A project generally runs for two days a week for
six months.

a host for a Work for the Dole or Community Work participant –
a participant (or participants) is placed with your
organisation for between 6 and 25 hours per week. Ideal for small organisations who
can benefit from assistance but are too small to be sponsors.
-
Through occasional assistance and support for special events –

Community Work Coordinator to provide assistance through one of its project
teams.
